Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Colorado City, Texas.

COLORADO CITY - Santos Ricardo Avidrez Franco was called to rest on November 4, 2013 at his home amongst his family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2013 at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Church Mass will be celebrated by Father Michael Udegbunam. Richard will be laid to rest in Mitchell County Cemetery next to his daugher Esther.
Richard was born in Colorado City on July 10, 1946 to Josefa A. and Jose Franco. He was a carpenter, a contractor, but most of all he was a family man. He enjoyed carpentry, dominoes, watching football, Western movies and being around his family and friends. He was an excellent swimmer; he had saved six people from drowning. He was an outstanding baseball player whose favorite position was shortstop. He was a life-long resident of Colorado City and a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.
He leaves behind his wife, Teresa, and their daughters Stacy and Emilia and her son Elijah. He is also survived by his children: Richard Franco Jr. and his children Justin and Alexa; Eizabeth Ann Franco and her children Felicia, Marcus and his wife Macey, and Marissa; Eva and husband Leonard Rico and their children David Elias and wife Jade, Monica and Isaac; Elsa and her husband Jason Free and children Amanda, Kailyn, Jason and wife Yari, Aaron and Wesley; Ellena Franco and children Clarissa, Karen and Sara; Evelyn and her children Christopher, Sebastian, Chelsey and Kelsea; Estella and husband JC Slinker and children Joe Michael, Joseph and Matthew; 11 great grandchildren; as well as two sisters and seven brothers. He was preceded in death by his daughter Esther Marie "Chucky" and by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
A Rosary prayer was held Monday-Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Visitation and Services are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.kikerseale.com
